In the heart of the desert in Tempe, Arizona, a young woman by the name of Brandywine Magowan was born to Irish-immigrant sharecroppers, Mortimer and Honesty Magowan. From a young age, it was clear that Brandywine had a gift for music. With her stunning looks and powerful voice, it wasn't long before Brandywine started making a reputation as one of the best singers her town had ever heard.

But it wasn't until she met Dellwood McGinty that Brandywine's career really took off. Dellwood was a vagabond musician, with a flair for the guitar that perfectly complemented Brandywine's soulful voice. The two fell in love and soon began performing together, traveling across the country in a beat-up old flatbed truck.
